Splurge or Save on These Accents – Open to Find Out

Share

If you know me, you know that I’m all about working smart and being cost-effective. As an interior design consultant, knowing where to splurge and where to save is so important. It lets you make the most of a budget and allows you to spend more on standout items that will make a big impact, while saving on items that don’t need the higher price tag to look and function beautifully.

One of these items that I like to save on: accent tables.

Thoughtfully placed accent tables make all the difference in interior design. They help to define a space, provide an easy landing place or surface, and make a room feel complete.

However, they’re not usually a main feature or focal point. Accent tables also don’t typically carry a heavy load or get a crazy amount of use. This is why they’re a great item to save on.

Every type of accent table has important considerations to keep in mind:

✨ Nightstands –bedroom essentials, bedside tables are great for storing items like books, glasses of water, and bedside lamps. Choose nightstands that complement or contrast the style of the bed and headboard.

✨ End tables – great accents for the end of a sofa or a hallway, end tables are stylish touches that can be chosen to match your other furniture items and accessories. Opt for end tables that fit the space available and that add style and personality.

✨ Console tables – these small accent tables are perfect for hallways and entryways. Choose console tables that provide extra storage space, that add flair and style, and that complement surrounding furniture.

A coffee table can be worth the splurge, but I always recommend SAVING when it comes to buying accent tables.

Some great places to find affordable accent tables include WayfairCB2Leon’s and even Bed Bath & Beyond.
